$283.60 Saved to date not much but a start

I'm very happy to report that I have stuck to my plan of saving 10% of what I earn each paycheck to day I transfered $141.80 to my savings account. This month has three pay days so I should have $425.40 saved on June 30th. My goal is to get at least $1,000 into an emergency fund so I can stay focused on my debt pay off. I'm learning from my mistakes as it seems that in the past the moment my car needed a repair I'd spend my bill money and fall behind. I'm so positive about this change and I feel like i'm headed in the right direction. I'm so glad that I stumbled upon this site you guys are such an inspiration.

    I think you are doing very well. When I started saving up for an emergency fund for the first time, I could only afford $10 a week. 10% of income seemed inconceivable. I think it's great you can manage this much. Keep up the good work.

    10% is a great target. Keep on going and don't get discouraged. Saving $1000 in 3 months is a very good clip.
